May 12, 2005 12:32 PMHi Patricia,
I hope my question doesnt bore you too much!!
As English is becoming more popular and more schools are being set up, we can see different qualities arising. For example, there are "unqualified" and "qualified" teachers. Both say they are teachers but the former are not! The problem is that the unqualified teachers are giving the industry a bad name because clients think they are getting a qualified teacher! In Spain there is a school that has become one of the biggest by selling courses with unqualified teachers and slagging off, quite rudely, all other methods! They even say going to the UK to learn English is no good!
Isnt all this illegal?? In Britain it is!
There are also many schools claiming to train teachers! Yes they do. But they aren't officially recognised courses.
Isnt it time the industry was regulized to stop this treachery? Im in contact with the ESU in the UK to see if we can submit some proposals to the EU commision.
What are your thoughts?
Todd

What computer programs, software etc. do schools generally use for scheduling classes and trainers? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
